PORT MASTER (PO-MT)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. set up and positioning every barge berth in the jetty;
  2. set up and have a smooth accurate reporting system for loading in every jetty;
  3. actively involve in improving the condition of the jetty in order to make the loading in standard and safe condition;
  4. assist / support The Barge Manager re the best way to load the barge.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • diploma or bachelor degree in relevant background from reputable institution; 5-7 years experience in handling jetty / terminal for loading / unloading purpose with minimum 1 year experience at the same level;
  • understanding of barge documents;
  • excellent reporting skill;
  • knowledge of Basic Legal and Basic Finance; strong leadership and negotiation skills.

BUYER (BY)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. receives and reviews a wide variety of requisitions and sourcing potential vendors;
  2. reviews bid proposals from vendors and makes recommendation;
  3. follow up with vendors on goods delivery;
  4. close PO's status;
  5. evaluates vendors' performance; and
  6. maintains records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • bachelor degree (preferable in Engineering) from reputable university;
  • 5-6 years experience in the similar type of business with minimum 1 year experience at the same level;
  • knowledge of Basic Legal, Basic Finance, and product-related standards and specifications;
  • advanced administrative skills; good level of concentration;
  • strong leadership and negotiation skills.
